ITINERARY

Day 1: Nairobi – Naro Moru Gate – Met Station

Elevation: 3,050m
Depart Nairobi at 7:00 AM and drive north through Kenya's central highlands to Naro Moru Town, arriving after approximately four hours.
After registration at Naro Moru Gate (2,400m), meet your mountain crew and begin your trek through dense rainforest, bamboo forest, and giant heather vegetation before reaching Met Station Camp.

Day 2: Met Station – Mackinder's Camp

After breakfast, begin one of the most challenging sections of the trek through the famous Vertical Bog, a steep and often muddy stretch that gradually opens into alpine moorland.
Continue through the beautiful Teleki Valley, surrounded by giant lobelias, giant groundsels, and spectacular views of Batian and Nelion peaks before arriving at Mackinder's Camp.

Reach Point Lenana (4,985m) in time for sunrise and enjoy panoramic views of:

• Mount Kilimanjaro (on clear mornings)
• The Great Rift Valley
• Kenya's central highlands
After celebrating your achievement and taking photographs, descend back to Mackinder's Camp for breakfast before continuing down to Met Station.
