6 Days Namibia Scenic Escape: Desert, Culture and Coast

Day 1 – Welcome to Namibia - Arrival in Windhoek

Upon arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide and transferred to Garden Inn Windhoek.

After checking in and enjoying lunch, embark on a fascinating Windhoek City Tour, exploring Namibia’s vibrant capital. Visit iconic landmarks including Christuskirche, Parliament Gardens, the Independence Memorial Museum, and browse local craft markets where you can shop for authentic Namibian souvenirs.

Return to the hotel in the late afternoon and spend the evening relaxing or enjoying dinner at one of Windhoek’s excellent restaurants.

Day 2 – Windhoek to Grootberg Lodge - Damaraland Adventure

Enjoy breakfast before departing for the spectacular landscapes of Damaraland.

Travel through Namibia’s breathtaking countryside, passing vast open plains, rugged mountains, and picturesque scenery before arriving at Grootberg Lodge.

After check-in and lunch, take time to relax and admire the magnificent panoramic views over the Klip River Valley.

Later in the afternoon, enjoy a memorable Sundowner Nature Drive, where you’ll explore the surrounding wilderness in search of wildlife while witnessing one of Namibia’s unforgettable sunsets. Enjoy refreshments as the golden light transforms the dramatic landscape.

Return to the lodge for dinner and an evening beneath Namibia’s incredible star-filled sky.

Day 3 – Grootberg to Spitzkoppe - Cultural Discovery

After breakfast, depart for the iconic granite peaks of Spitzkoppe, famously known as the “Matterhorn of Namibia.”

Upon arrival at Spitzkoppe Tented Camp, enjoy lunch before visiting a traditional Himba Village, where you’ll gain insight into one of Namibia’s oldest indigenous cultures and their unique traditions.

Continue to a Bushman (San) Village, where experienced guides will introduce you to ancient survival techniques, traditional hunting methods, medicinal plants, storytelling, and the fascinating history of the San people.

End the day surrounded by the spectacular granite formations of Spitzkoppe as the sun sets over the desert.

Day 4 – Spitzkoppe to Swakopmund | Atlantic Coast

After breakfast, depart for the charming coastal town of Swakopmund.

Enjoy one of Namibia’s most scenic drives as the desert landscapes meet the cool Atlantic Ocean.

Upon arrival at Swakopmund Plaza Hotel, check in and enjoy lunch before spending the afternoon at leisure. Stroll along the beachfront promenade, browse boutique shops and local craft markets, visit charming cafés, or simply relax while taking in the refreshing coastal atmosphere.

Day 5 – Luxury Catamaran Cruise & Sandwich Harbour

After breakfast, head to nearby Walvis Bay for an unforgettable day of marine and desert adventures.

Board a Luxury Catamaran Cruise, where you’ll sail across the calm waters of Walvis Bay in search of playful dolphins, Cape fur seals, pelicans, and, during whale season, magnificent whales. Enjoy freshly prepared snacks, sparkling wine, and breathtaking views of the Atlantic coastline.

Following the cruise, continue on an exhilarating 4x4 excursion to Sandwich Harbour, where the towering golden dunes of the Namib Desert dramatically meet the Atlantic Ocean. Capture spectacular photographs, enjoy thrilling dune driving, and experience one of Namibia’s most iconic natural wonders.

Return to Swakopmund in the late afternoon for your final evening at leisure.

Day 6 – Farewell Namibia

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and begin your journey back to Hosea Kutako International Airport.

Enjoy the final scenic drive through Namibia’s beautiful landscapes before arriving at the airport for your departure flight.
