6-Day Madagascar Lemur Safari
Discover the green and authentic side of Madagascar on a journey from the capital to the lush rainforests of Andasibe.
This 6-day experience offers a wonderful introduction to the fauna and flora of Eastern Madagascar, combined with encounters with local communities and an immersion in the Malagasy way of life.
The highlight of the journey is Andasibe National Park, one of the best places to discover Madagascar’s extraordinary lemurs. Listen to the distinctive call of the Indri-Indri, the largest living lemur, while exploring a humid rainforest filled with endemic plants, orchids, ferns and ancient trees.
A program designed for travelers who want to take their time, observe nature and meet local people, while discovering one of Madagascar’s richest biodiversity areas.

Day 01: Arrive Antananarivo (Tana)
Upon arrival in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, you will be warmly welcomed at the airport by our Diah nay Tours team and assisted with your transfer to the hotel.
Take the rest of the day to relax and recover from your journey or simply enjoy your first impressions of the Malagasy capital before beginning your adventure towards the lush landscapes of the East.

Day 02: Antananarivo– Andasibe
After breakfast, depart Antananarivo and head east along National Road 2, travelling through the increasingly lush and tropical landscapes that characterize Eastern Madagascar.
Along the way, enjoy the changing scenery, small villages and glimpses of everyday Malagasy life. For travellers interested in Madagascar’s remarkable reptiles and wildlife, an optional stop at the Peyrieras Private Reserve can be arranged to observe chameleons, lemurs and other endemic species.
Continue towards Andasibe, surrounded by one of Madagascar’s most important rainforest areas. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and take some time to relax.
Before dinner, enjoy a night walk in the VOI reserve to discover Madagascar’s fascinating nocturnal wildlife, with opportunities to observe small nocturnal lemurs, chameleons, frogs and other species.

Day 03: Andasibe: Visite of the Natural Reserve of Andasibe
After breakfast, morning visit to the Analamazaotra Special Reserve, one of the best places in Madagascar to observe the famous Indri-Indri, the largest living lemur.
Enjoy a half-day guided walk from approximately 8:00 a.m. to noon, discovering the lush rainforest and its remarkable endemic flora and fauna.
Lunch at your own expense.
In the afternoon, continue to the Vakona Private Reserve for another wildlife experience. Discover Vakona Island, enjoy a canoe ride to observe ring-tailed lemurs and visit the crocodile farm.

Day 04: Andasibe –Antananarivo
After breakfast, depart Andasibe and begin the journey back to Antananarivo along National Road 2.
Enjoy the final views of the lush Eastern landscapes, tropical vegetation and traditional villages along the way.
Upon arrival in Antananarivo, transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 05: Antananarivo: City Tour
After breakfast, meet your guide and set out to discover the capital of Madagascar, its history, culture and vibrant daily life.
Explore the famous Digue Market, a lively place to discover Malagasy craftsmanship and local products. Browse through a wide selection of handicrafts, textiles, souvenirs and traditional creations, while experiencing the atmosphere of one of the capital’s popular markets.
This visit offers a final opportunity to meet local people, discover Malagasy know-how and take home a little piece of Madagascar.

Day 06: Antananarivo- out
After breakfast, enjoy your final moments in Antananarivo. Check-out from the hotel is at 10:00 a.m.
Depending on your international flight schedule, our driver will transfer you to Ivato International Airport (TNR) for your onward flight.
