Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Chogoria – Meru Bandas
Elevation: 2,900m
Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi at around 7:00 AM. Drive through the fertile central highlands via Embu to Chogoria Town, arriving in time for lunch.
After lunch, continue by 4×4 vehicle along the forest road to the edge of Mount Kenya National Park. Meet your mountain crew before beginning a gentle trek through bamboo forest and montane vegetation to Meru Mount Kenya Bandas.

Today's hike traverses' magnificent alpine landscapes while steadily gaining altitude.
Pass through spectacular valleys filled with giant groundsels before reaching Minto's Camp, located near the famous Temple and overlooking the breathtaking Gorges Valley.
If time permits, take a short walk to the edge of the valley for sunset photography.
