Tour highlight Fort Jesus, built in the 16th century. The Old Town,
packed with souvenir shops and artisanal workshops, includes the White House, the first
American consulate, and the Old Post Office, built by Indians to send news and money back
home via the railway. Biashara Street offers a variety of Kenyan fabrics in vibrant colors, and the
city’s symbol, the “Mombasa Tusks,” is also present. We will explore the spice market and
Kenyan food market. We will have the opportunity to see the old port where ferries have been
operating since 1937, transporting Kenyan slaves to Likoni and the mainland for centuries.
